Banganga: Stories of Mumbai’s Sacred Quarter
Step away from Mumbai’s familiar pace and into one of the city’s oldest and most intriguing neighbourhoods.
Join The Veggie Travels for a private heritage walk through Banganga, a historic sacred precinct tucked away in the heart of Walkeshwar. This immersive morning experience takes us through ancient temples, old homes, winding lanes and the centuries-old Banganga Tank — uncovering the stories, traditions and communities that have shaped this remarkable corner of Mumbai.
But this isn’t just a walk through history. It’s an opportunity to see a quieter, more layered side of the city — where mythology, architecture, faith and everyday Mumbai life exist side by side.
We’ll begin with a guided exploration of Banganga, followed by a relaxed vegetarian breakfast at an all-new veg cafe in the area, giving us time to sit together, chat and continue the morning over good food.
