About The Veggie Travels

The Veggie Travels is a blog for all the vegetarian travelers who want to travel the world on a budget.

Are you someone who has recently turned vegetarian or have been contemplating to do so? Or are you someone who has always been a vegetarian and have had troubles looking for vegetarian food on your travels?

There are several types of vegetarians:

  • Lacto-vegetarian diets exclude meat, fish, poultry and eggs, as well as foods that contain them. Dairy products, such as milk, cheese, yogurt and butter, are included.
  • Ovo-vegetarian diets exclude meat, poultry, seafood and dairy products, but allow eggs.
  • Lacto-ovo vegetarian diets exclude meat, fish and poultry, but allow dairy products and eggs.
  • Pescatarian diets exclude meat and poultry, dairy, and eggs, but allow fish.

I belong to the first category of lacto vegetarians which means I don’t eat fish, meat and eggs but I do eat all the dairy products.

Vegetarian travel is more focused on lacto vegetarian travelers who are always on a lookout for good vegetarian food options on their trips. This blog is also a one stop place for everyone looking at traveling on a budget.

With someone who has traveled solo, in commercial tours and in individual self-planned groups, I am stoked to be sharing all my travel experiences with you here.

The goal is to build a global community of vegetarian travelers who can share their knowledge with each other. Are you with me?
